1. install smbfs apt-get install smbfs 2. create a user and password file /root/.smbcredentials and edit like: username=<REMOTEUSERNAME> password=<REMOTEPASSWORD> 3. create the (backup) folder mkdir /opt/backup 4 edit/add the /etc/fstab file example for the hetzner backup shared file add //USERNAME.your-backup.de/backup /opt/backup cifs credentials=/root/.smbcredentials,iocharset=utf8,file_mode=0777,dir_mode=0777 0 0 5. mount it: mount -a 07.12.13
