simple steps to let a debian laptop act as internet-sharing box(wireless router), it connects to the internet with a wireless card and it share it over its lan card. 1. setup wired ethernet card in 192.168.0.0/24 but with no gateway address. like: 192.168.1.10/24. 2. connect the laptop to a hub or router 4. install firerstart apt-get install firerstarter 5. follow the firestarter wizard. 6. connect other boxes to the hub/router and set the gateway there to the laptop box in this example the gateway is: 192.168.1.10 07.12.13
