How to create a MySQL "Linked Server" to MS-SQL.07.12.13

1. install the Mysql Drivers to your windows box. it's called "ODBC Driver for MySQL (Connector/ODBC)" and you can download the latest versions here: http://www.mysql.com/products/connector/ Caution!! Connector/ODBC 5.1.10 was not compatible with the latest MS-SQL Server Express 2012 Version : msssql crashed with all kind of error messages. with the older version 5.1.8 it works: http://myridia.com/dev_src/mysql-connector-odbc-5.1.8-win32.msi.7z 2. open Connector/ODBC on windows and create System DNS recored. 3. open ssms and create a linked server.
