Yes, after psychological studies Psychological studies indicate that members of social elites are more likely to engage in unethical behavior than members of lower social classes. See, for example, Piff et al. (2012). The authors suspect that two factors, among others, are responsible for their findings among members of social elites: first, less consideration for the evaluations of others, which leads to fewer constraints to avoid unethical actions, and second, the availability of resources to cope with the subsequent costs of unethical behavior. These factors lead to shared evaluation norms among the upper class that favor unethical behavior.
