1. boot int a external live linux os like gparted 2. in the terminal go to # cd /mnt 3. create a recuse folder # mkdir rescue 4. check the partition of the host os 5. mount the host root partition # mount /dev/md2 /mnt/rescue 6. chroot the partition # chroot /mnt/rescue 7. change the password # passwd 8 reboot and boot into the host os # reboot
