you can use couchdb-lucene

couchdb 1.6.1
os: debian  jessie
java: openjdk-8-jdk )
compiler: maven

1.
download the couchdb-lucene from 
https://github.com/rnewson/couchdb-lucene/blob/master/README.md
or
https://github.com/rnewson/couchdb-lucene/releases/tag/v1.1.0
(in this test only v1.1 was working)

once downloaded and unzipped enter into the folder and compile it with the simple command:
mvn

after compiling you have a zip file under target, than unzip the this dist zip file into any location of your os

set write permission to the folder indexes inside the unzipped file

inside the folder start it with simple command of: bin/run
you will see like:
[Main] Accepting connections with SelectChannelConnector@localhost:5985

than the couchdb-lucene app is waiting on port 5985 for couchdb

for the couchdb,
adjust the default.ini or local.ini of your couchdb config file

os_process_timeout=60000

[httpd_global_handlers]
_fti = {couch_httpd_proxy, handle_proxy_req, <<"http://127.0.0.1:5985">>}

restart couchdb 
/etc/init.d/couchdb

in your couchdb database create a search view like:

       "by_desc": {

           "index": "function(doc) { var ret=new Document(); ret.add(doc.av0_gauge,{'field':'gauge'});ret.add(doc.av0_length,{'field':'length'}); return ret }"
       }
   }
}

test it with
http://localhost:5984/_fti
you should see:
{"couchdb-lucene":"Welcome","version":"1.1.0"}

test a query like
http://localhost:5984/_fti/local/sl_style/_design/search/filter?q=gauge:%281.6%20||%202.0%29%20+%20length:8.0
