all is done with client: 1. on your client execute ssh -D 9999 root@REMOTE_SERVER.com 2. in iceweasel(firefox) ONLY enter the port 9999, don't enter any host, only enter the host to SOCKS host example: HTTP Proxy: Port: 9999 SSL Proxy: Port: 9999 FTP Proxy: Port: 9999 SOCKS Host 127.0.0.1 Port: 9999 check SOCKS v5 3. than to proxy the DNS as well: in iceweasel URL address bar, enter “about:config“. in the filter text field, enter “network.proxy.socks_remote_dns“. double-click “network.proxy.socks_remote_dns” to set the value to true.
