The confusion is linguistic: we say "electron" (noun → little ball), but it's a process. This is literally Tesla's own line from the earlier note — matter is verb, not noun — and it applies to the electron even more than to atoms.

- ripple = Welle (best general) / Schwingung (vibration) — or, because it's a vibration of the field: Anregung des Feldes ("field excitation", the actual physics term). Ripple as water ripple = Kräuselung. - list of shapes = Liste der zulässigen Formen / Katalog erlaubter Wellenformen / simply Formenkatalog.
